The Oakland Room Divider is a multifunctional shelving unit designed to bring structure, storage, and softness to open-plan spaces. Its black steel frame forms a bold architectural grid, softened by warm wooden display blocks that can be positioned and styled as needed. This open shelving divider is perfect for separating a living and dining area, zoning a home office, or adding vertical interest to a larger room — without compromising natural light or flow.
Oakland reimagines what a room divider can be. Minimal, freestanding, and highly versatile, it’s designed for real South African homes — where working, hosting, and living often happen in the same space. The modular wooden boxes can be placed, stacked, or styled however you like, offering space for plants, books, and curated objects. Additional blocks can be purchased to expand or reshape the layout over time, making Oakland as flexible as it is functional.
The frame is constructed from 25mm and 13mm mild steel tubing, powder-coated in ferrograin black, and comes with six removable modular boxes made from melamine. Each wooden block fits snugly within the frame openings but can be rearranged or removed entirely to suit your changing needs.

Delivery Terms
Delivery is subject to the following terms and conditions:
Delivery dates will be communicated no later than two days prior to delivery. Delivery in Gauteng will be made on the communicated day, and clients will be alerted of imminent delivery 30 minutes in advance. Delivery outside of Gauteng will be sent via courier. Clients will be notified when the item is shipped, and a parcel tracking number will be made available, where possible. Couriers are instructed to contact clients prior to delivery to confirm availability. Studio Delta will not be liable for unsuccessful deliveries due to a client’s unavailability. Should a client wish to have an item delivered at a specific time during the day of delivery, this must be indicated well in advance, and requests of this nature may be subject to additional charges.
On-site Collection
Collections are strictly from Studio Delta's production facility in Silverton, Pretoria, Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:00 (excluding public holidays), and by prior arrangement.
Once notified that an order is ready for collection, customers are required to collect their order within five (5) working days. Failure to do so may result in reasonable storage fees being charged.
Customers are responsible for arranging suitable transportation and ensuring their order is adequately secured during transit. Risk in the goods passes to the customer or their appointed representative upon collection and departure from the Studio Delta premises.
Studio Delta reserves the right to request proof of authorisation for third-party collections and to amend this policy from time to time without prior notice.
