Each bench is made from mild steel that undergoes a thorough seven-stage phosphate pre-treatment before being powder-coated. This process effectively removes any excess residue and ensures strong adhesion between the metal and the powder coating, enhancing corrosion resistance. However, please be aware that rust may develop over time.

For those in more corrosive environments, we recommend requesting a coastal pre-treatment. This additional step involves applying an anti-rust primer before the powder-coated topcoat, which can extend the bench’s lifespan in challenging conditions, though it won’t completely prevent rust.

For maximum rust prevention, we offer the option to galvanise the steel prior to powder coating, providing the highest level of protection for your bench.
